2025 FRONTIER LEAGUE PREVIEWS: FLORENCE Y'ALLS
Although they missed the Frontier League playoffs in 2024, the Florence Y'alls were a force to be reckoned with. The Frontier League's number one-ranked offense had Florence on top of the leaderboard in team batting average, runs scored, runs batted in and slugging percentage; they were also second in home runs.
The offense was brought to life by All-Frontier League Outfielder and Rookie of the Year TJ Reeves, who battled throughout the season for the league's home run lead. He recently had his option for the 2025 picked up by the team, along with fellow outfielder sluggers Blaze O'Saben, Stephen Hrustich and Hank Zeisler.
The player success for the Y'alls saw five of their pitchers get picked up by Major League Baseball organizations over the course of the last year: Ethan Bell (Chicago Cubs); Ryan Watson (Toronto Blue Jays); Cam Pferrer (San Francisco Giants); Carter Spivey and Logan Campbell (Cincinnati Reds).
For 2025, the Y'alls are hoping that adding former Florence players on the coaching side will help propel their team into the postseason. The team recently hired former bullpen arm Kent Klyman to oversee their pitching staff after he announced his retirement this offseason. Klyman will join hitting coach and veteran Y'all Craig Massey to round out Chad Rhoades's field staff.
Promotionally, Florence has announced the return of $2 Tuesdays at Thomas More Stadium along with brand-new Wrestlin' Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, Firework Fridays, Rockin' Saturdays and Family Funday Sundays! Themed nights returning this season include Super Hero Night on May 30th, Margaritaville Night on June 21st, and Star Wars Night on July 11th.
The Y'alls will open their season in Pearl, Mississippi with a three-game series against the Mud Monsters beginning on May 8th. For details on tickets, packages, and promotions, be sure to visit florenceyalls.com!
