MARC-ANTOINE LEBREUX WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AVON, OH – Marc-Antoine Lebreux of the Québec Capitales has been named the Frontier League Player of the Week.
Marc-Antoine Lebreux is one part of a trio of outstanding players that patrol the outfield for Québec. He has been honored as Player of the Week after leading the league with 14 hits over the past week, including multi-hit performances in five of the six games he started. In the series finale against the New England Knockouts on Sunday, Lebreux collected three hits in five at-bats with a double and two RBIs. He finished a 5-1 week going 14-for-27 at the plate with a home run, a double, and two stolen bases. His weekly splits came out to .519 AVG/.581 OBP/.667 SLG.
Lebreux is the first member of the Capitales to win a weekly award in 2024 and the first since Steven Fuentes in June of 2023. In his third season with Québec, the Montreal native has blasted a career-high 11 home runs to go along with career lines in on-base percentage (.423) and slugging (.468). He also leads the Capitales in batting average (.289) and ranks third in stolen bases (17).
