L.P. PELLETIER WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

June 17, 2024 – L.P. Pelletier of the Trois-Rivières Aigles this week's Frontier League Player of the Week!

Louis-Philippe Pelletier, better known as L.P., has been the everyday left-fielder for the Trois-Rivières Aigles this season. This past week, he went on a tear that included a 15-for-23 hitting line with four doubles and a home run. Pelletier registered multiple hits in each of the six games he played, including a stand-out performance on Wednesday against the Sussex County Miners; he went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and a stolen base while registering three RBIs. Pelletier ended his week with a .652 AVG/.714 OBP/.957 SLG split-stat line, which also included three stolen bases and a 4-to-3 strikeout/walk ratio.

Pelletier, a native of Montreal, is a former 20th-round pick of the Houston Astros. After debuting in the Frontier League as a member of the Québec Capitales in 2021, Pelletier signed with the Aigles the following year and has been with them ever since. The 28-year-old outfielder carries an impressive career batting average of .337 in the Frontier League and has 33 career home runs. After an impressive week, Pelletier is currently hitting .396 for the season, on pace for a career-best.
