THE QUÉBEC CAPITALES CELEBRATE THEIR 25TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The Capitales enter the 2024 season with great optimism and excitement as the organization celebrates 25 years of existence. Recent years have also been crowned with success, as the team won the Frontier League championships in 2022 and 2023. In addition, 16 players from last season are back with the team, a record for the organization.

A number of 25th anniversary celebrations have been announced, including the retirement of the jerseys of Sébastien Boucher and Karl Gélinas. The organization will also celebrate the team's nine championships and honor founding father Miles Wolff. These nostalgic moments are not to be missed at Stade Canac this summer.

Among the 16 players returning to the team, the Capitales will be able to count on Frank Moscatiello, the 2023 Frontier League reliever of the year. Quebec outfielders Jonathan Lacroix and Marc-Antoine Lebreux are also back. Powerful Juremi Profar is also back, having initially been traded. Among the new arrivals, Dutch infielder Delano Selassa, who has been playing professionally since the age of 16, has earned a place on the team. Quebecer Anthony Quirion is also making his presence felt, and is very vocal on the pitch: "Some players come from far and wide. I think it's important to make them feel at ease right from the start of the season." Patrick Scalabrini's objective is clear: "We want to win a 3rd championship in a row, but to do that we're going to have to work hard, very hard, several things have to happen and come together."

It will be interesting to follow the Capitales' 2024 campaign as all the teams on the circuit will certainly have extra motivation when they take on the favourites of the Stade Canac.
