KNOCKOUTS ADD CHARLES KELLY TO BULLPEN MIX

The New England Knockouts have signed right-handed pitcher Charles "Chuck" Kelley to a Frontier League contract. This is Kelley's first professional contract.

Kelley, 24 years old, joins the team after gaining valuable experience in the NCAA. Kelley played one season at La Salle University, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There, he pitched in 29 innings across 13 appearances. Kelley threw for a 4.97 ERA and 31 strikeouts. This also included four starts for the Explorers.

Prior to La Salle, Kelley took the junior college route, playing baseball at Mercer County Community College. Kelley made four appearances for the Vikings, throwing for a total of 10.2 innings. He also completed nine strikeouts for Mercer County.

Kelley hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He played four years of baseball at Father Judge High School, earning Catholic League MVP and All-Southeastern PA honors. During his senior season, he competed with a 5-1 record, 0.78 ERA, and 61 total strikeouts.
