THE AIGLES ARE CONFIDENT OF BEING MORE COMPETITIVE IN 2024

The Aigles' management is looking at the 2024 season with optimism, confident in turning the team around following a tough season in 2023. Fans will have the opportunity to see some star players from last season returning, as well as new faces that are expected to shake up the pitching lineup, one of the aspects that troubled the team last year.

Among the familiar faces known to the supporters, we can count on the return of outfielders LP Pelletier, Rodrigo Orozco, and Steve Brown. The big news of the offseason is the comeback of a crowd favorite, Trifluvian outfielder Raphael Gladu. The center fielder will certainly improve both the offense and defense of the Trois-Rivières. In the infield, the Aigles will rely on the return of star player Dalton Combs, as well as the addition of third baseman Luis Curbelo, a former product of the White Sox organization. Behind the plate, the work will be split between former Gateway Grizzlies player, Willie Estrada, and catcher Mario Feliciano, who has played some games in the MLB, notably with the Detroit Tigers. Feliciano is a significant addition to the team, being a former 2nd-round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers. Finally, on the mound, the Aigles are thrilled to have their top two pitchers returning, Osman Gutierrez and Tucker Smith, as well as adding some experienced professional pitchers, Michell Miliano, Hernando Mejia, and Didier Vargas.

The goal is to bring the team back among the elite of the Frontier League. After a championship in 2015 and a remarkable season in 2019, the journey has been much more challenging in the last two years. It is with this vision that management has redoubled its efforts during the offseason to build a winning team.

The Aigles will kick off their season on May 10th, as they travel to Sussex to face the Miners. The opening game will take place on Friday, May 17th, at Quillorama Stadium, with the New England Knockouts as the visitors. Tickets are available at www.lesaiglestr.com.
