2023 PLAYOFF REGULATIONS

SECTION 1 – Qualification: The top three teams in both divisions will qualify for the playoffs.  If there is a tie for a playoff berth, the tiebreaker system described in Section 2 will be implemented.

SECTION 2 – Tie-Breaker Procedure: In case of a tie between two  teams, the winner of the tie-breaker will be determined by (i) winning percentage; (ii) if still a tie, head to head record shall determine winner; (iii) if still a tie, head to head record against each team in the division in descending order of regular season finish will determine the winner; (iv) and if still a tie, a one game playoff will be held the day after the regular season ends at a site to be determined by the coin toss of the Commissioner. In the case of tie between three or more teams, the final standings will be determined by (i) winning percentages of all of the tied teams; (ii) if there are still three or more teams tied, winning percentages against the other teams tied for the slot; and (iii) if there are still three (3) or more teams tied, winning percentages against non-playoff teams, individually, in descending order of finish.

SECTION 3 – Divisional Playoff Format:  The second place team will host the third place team from their division in a Wild Card game.  The winner of these games will face their division winners in a best-of-three Divisional Series, with the division winners hosting games 2 and 3 (if necessary)

SECTION 4 – Championship Playoff Format:  The championship playoffs shall be scheduled to begin on the second day following the scheduled completion of the division playoffs. The Championship Series will be a best-of-five format.  For 2023, the East Division representative will host games 1 and 2 with the West Division representative hosting games 3, 4, and 5.
