TITANS BOLSTER LINEUP WITH ACQUISITION OF SNYDER
The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club announced today the acquisition and signing of infielder Gabe Snyder for the upcoming 2023 Frontier League season. Snyder was acquired from the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association in exchange for LHP Kevin Escorcia.
Snyder, 27, heads to Ottawa following a stellar 2022 campaign with the X's. In 87 regular season games, Snyder hit .259 with 18 home runs and 54 RBI. Although the Explorers fell one game short of a playoff berth, the towering 6-foot-5 left-handed hitter recorded 20 multi-hit performances last season.
Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 21st round of the 2018 MLB Draft, Snyder reached Double-A during his three-year tenure with the Twins organization. In 209 MiLB games, Snyder hit a collective .250 with 28 homers and 99 runs driven in. With the Midwest League's Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2019, Snyder notched an all-star-worthy campaign with a team-best 19 homers and 58 RBI.
The Killibuck, Ohio, product spent four seasons at Wright State University (Dayton, Ohio) from 2015-2018. For the Raiders, Snyder set school records for career home runs (44) and RBI (218) across 237 games played.
