FRONTIER LEAGUE 2022 ALL-STAR COACHING STAFF AND ADDITIONAL PLAYERS ANNOUNCED

Frontier League Professional Baseball is pleased to announce the coaching staff and three additional players from each division for the 2022 All-Star Game as hosted by the Washington Wild Things and is presented by The Coury Firm at Wild Things Park located in Washington, PA on Wednesday, July 20 at 7:05 pm.

In the East division, is outfielder L.P. Pelletier of the Trois-Rivières Aigles. L.P. Pelletier is batting .359 on the year with 61 hits, 43 runs scored and 32 RBIs with nine homeruns.

On the mound is Nick Horvath of the Quebec Capitales. Horvath has a 2-1 record with a 1.69 ERA with 36 strikeouts, allowed only 13 walks and only five earned runs on the year so far.

In the outfield is outfielder David Vinsky of the New Boulders. On the year, Vinsky is batting a .343 batting average with 73 hits, 45 RBIs, and 10 homeruns.

For the Coaching staff, Pat Scalabrini will be manager of the East Division. He has led the Capitales so far to a 38-15 record which puts them in first place. Utility player Josh McAdams will also be joining from Quebec as a part of the Coaching staff.

New Jersey's Brooks Carey will be a part of the staff. Carey has led the New Jersey Jackals to a 23-29 record on the year so far and has guided the Jackals to a championship that was in 2020. Gabriel Imbeau of the Quebec Capitales will join the East division staff as a trainer.

For the West Division, right-handed pitcher Austin Goassman of the Evansville Otters will replace Parker Brahms who was recently signed by the Cinncinatti Reds. He's pitching a 2.62 ERA on the year with a 4-2 record and only allowing 17 walks and 16 earned runs.

Another pitcher that will be joining the staff will be Layne Schnitz-Paxton of the Windy City Thunderbolts. On the year, he has a 1.42 ERA with 18 strikouts, and has only allowed eight walks and three earned runs.

Another Wild Thing will be added to the roster with infielder Scotty Dubrule. He is batting a .325 batting average on the year with 65 hits, 37 RBIs, 39 runs scored and two homeruns.

Outfielder Chase Dawson of the Schaumburg Boomers will also be joining the team. On the year, he is batting .313 with 65 hits, 36 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He also recently just set a new record for most triples in a single season with 17.

Tom Vaeth will be managing the team for the West Division. He has led the Washington Wild Things to a 34-19 record which has put them in first place. Joining him will be Alex Boshers from the Washington Wild Things.

Bench and Infield Coordinator Coach Maikol Gonzalez of the Lake Erie Crushers will also be joining the staff.

Austin Pascarella of the Washington Wild Things will be joining the coaching staff as a trainer.

During the game, the Frontier League all-stars will don the jerseys of Negro League teams from their team's regions as part of a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Josh Gibson's induction into the baseball Hall of Fame. The jersey's will be auctioned off during the game on the Wild Things' auction partner M@C's platform so that fans from all over the league can bid on and try to win their piece of history with proceeds benefitting the Josh Gibson Foundation.

Tickets for the All-Star Game are available now here. It will cost $10 to sit in the lower seating bowl of the Wild Things Park and $5 for tickets in the bleacher sections (the 200 level) of the stadium. The game will also be broadcasted and aired live on FloBaseball.tv.
