TROIS RIVIÈRES STEVE BROWN AND SCHAUMBURG’S KOBEY SCHLOTMAN TAKE WEEKLY AWARDS

After the Aigles went 4-2 this week, their outfielder didn't disappoint. While the Boomers, went 5-1, their pitcher excelled in his appearances. Aigles Steve Brown is this week's Player of the Week while Schaumburg's Kobey Schlotman is Pitcher of the Week. 

Steve Brown had himself a week after having 8 hits, six runs scored, and 12 RBIs with four homeruns. He had at least one hit or more in each game played with his best game being against the New York Boulders on Friday where he went 2-3 at the plate with two runs scored and five RBIs and two homeruns. Overall, his performance this week led to a .520 on-base percentage and 1.158 slugging percentage. 

Before coming to Trois-Rivières in 2022, Brown played for the Ottawa Champions when they were a part of the Can-Am League and before they became their now know name, the Ottawa Titans. His best season was in 2017 where he had 105 hits, seven homeruns, 62 RBIs and 53 runs scored. Before playing for the Champions, he played in the Houston Astros minor league organization where his best season with them was in 2008. He had 72 hits, 10 homeruns, 31 RBI's, and 46 runs scored. 

Schlotman shined in his appearances this week. In his appearances against the Joliet Slammers on Tuesday, he pitched 7.1 innings, allowing only two hits, two walks and no runs with 12 strikeouts. He then followed up his appearance on Sunday against the Windy City ThunderBolts where he only allowed one hit, had seven strikeouts, four walks, and no runs in five innings pitched. 

Before coming to Schaumburg in 2022, Schlotman attended the Mount Mercy University for two years where his best season was in 2022. In that season, he had 1.64 ERA with a  9-1 record, had 105 strikeouts, and only allowed 19 walks, and 13 earned runs.
