2022 EASTERN DIVISIONAL SERIES PREVIEW - GAME THREE

2022 EASTERN DIVISIONAL SERIES PREVIEW - GAME THREE

Game three of the 2022 Eastern Divisional Series will determine who moves on after  a Walk-off victory from the Quebec Capitales at home in game two.

Quebec Capitales

After coming off a win against the Titans, the Capitales will look to take it home as they try to advance to the Championship series.

Quebec will send LHP Carlos Sano out for the crucial start. Sano was 6-2 this season with a 4.32 ERA and 34 strikeouts.

The Capitales were determined in the second game after their walk-off win against Ottawa and their twelve hits in the second game of the series. They finished 6th in slugging percentage (.438) and 5th in home runs (116) in the regular season.

Quebec will need more production from their star catcher Jeffy Parra who went 0-for-6 in game two and 0-for-4 in game one. Parra broke the single-season home run record for the franchise with 32 long balls. Parra also finished top-ten in the entire league in RBI (83), doubles (25), slugging percentage (.705), and on-base percentage (.419) .

Quebec can take the series if their explosive, well-rounded offense can continue their momentum as well as continuing to provide some support for a strong pitching staff.

Ottawa Titans

Ottawa hopes to stay alive and take the series in game three and move on to the next round.

The Titans put up three runs against Paiva but came up short when Paiva was relieved.

A.J. Wright helped score two out of the three runs scored with the help of his home run and RBI double.

Wright was electric along with his teammate and outfielder Jacob Sanford who also homered in game two.

Ottawa's game three pitcher,Chris Burica finished the regular season with a 9-6 record despite finishing with a 4.51 ERA with 84 strikeouts. He will have the mission of taking his team to the Championship Series for the East Division.

If Ottawa's lineup can provide their pitcher some run support then they could win this series tonight.
