CRUSHERS NAME JARED LEMIEUX MANAGER
The Lake Erie Crushers, who are presented by Akron Children's Hospital, have named Jared Lemieux as Director of Baseball Operations and Field Manager for the 2023 Frontier League season. Lemieux spent the past 2 seasons coaching with the New Jersey Jackals, and has been involved in professional baseball, either playing or coaching since 2006.
"The Crushers are thrilled to announce the hiring of Jared Lemieux for the 2023 Frontier League season", stated Crushers Co-Owner Tom Kramig. "Jared is an outstanding individual with more than 15 years of professional baseball experience. We believe he can lead us to the Frontier League title, as well as being a great asset to the entire Crushers organization and northern Ohio community."
"Having coached against Lake Erie for the past 2 seasons, I know it is an outstanding organization with great fans", Lemieux remarked. "I cannot wait to get started and I look forward to raising a championship banner at Mercy Health Stadium very soon."
Lemieux spent 5 seasons playing in the Can-Am and American Association while earning his Master's Degree from Springfield College. Along the way he has coached at the college level and spent 5 seasons coaching with the Ottawa Champions in the Can-Am League, winning a championship in 2016, before joining the Jackals in 2021.
