AIGLES STRENGTHEN BULLPEN WITH ADDITION OF MICHELL MILIANO

The Trois-Rivières Aigles continue their work to solidify their bullpen for the 2024 season as they have added former San Diego Padres and Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Michell Miliano to their roster.

A native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Miliano has been playing affiliate baseball since 2017. In 2023, the 24-year-old right-hander split his time between the Greensboro Grasshoppers (A+) and the Altoona Curve (AA). In 64.2 innings of work, he had 73 strikeouts and a 4.04 ERA.

"Miliano will bring a wealth of experience to our reliever group, given his six seasons in affiliated baseball. His excellent control and spin balls allow him to get multiple strikeouts. That's something we were missing a lot from our pitching staff last year," said manager Matthew Rusch.

In his minor league career, Miliano has played 210 innings on the mound, totaling 285 strikeouts. He also maintained a 5.33 ERA and a 1.714 WHIP.

Miliano's signing joins outfielder Louis-Philippe Pelletier, infielders Dalton Combs, Brandon Hernandez and Edouard Savoie and pitchers Osman Gutierrez, Didier Vargas, Logan Hofmann and Hernando Mejia for the 2024 season.

The Aigles will begin their 11th season – their 3rd in the Frontier League – on May 10, 2024 when they visit the Sussex County Miners. As for the home opener at Stade Quillorama, it is scheduled for May 17, 2024 against the newest team of the circuit, the New England Knockouts.
