SLAMMERS KIEST SIGNED BY GIANTS
June 7th, 2023 - Veteran righty Tanner Kiest has had his contract acquired by the San Francisco Giants. The Yucaipa, CA native was drafted in the 28th round by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2014, he also spent time in the Minnesota Twins farm system.
The hard throwing righty was on his third stop in the Frontier League after previous stints in Florence and New York. This season through six innings pitched for the Slammers, Kiest posted a 3.00 ERA along with 11 strikeouts
Kiest's arsenal features a Fastball that tops out at nearly 100 MPH, along with a 2740 RPM slider according to Yakkertech data.
The Giants assigned Kiest to their Arizona Complex League affiliate in Scottsdale.
