BASEBALL HALL OF FAME CHOOSES HINCHLIFFE STADIUM TO ANNOUNCE NEW EXHIBIT!

Hinchliffe Staduim; located on the top of the Great Falls of the Passaic River is one of the most historic Negro Leauge stadium. Rich with history, this stadium held the Frontier Leagues only Juneteenth game to honor those who played before.

The Baseball Hall of Fame could not have chosen a better landmark for their new exhibit which was launched this Juneteenth at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson New Jersey. "Souls of the Game, Voice of Black Baseball '' is the newest edition to the Baseball Hall of Fame and it will honor the African American baseball players who impacted the history of baseball. This exhibit enhances the diversity and inclusivity of the sport of baseball. Inspiration rose from W.E.B. Dubois' and the new exhibit will be named "The Souls of Black Folk" as a honor to the black baseball players who changed the game of baseball.

Josh Rawitch, president of the Baseball Hall of Fame, was present at Hinchliffe Stadium to explain the true meaning of this exhibit. Black Baseball has an amazing story to tell from its beginnings all the way to the creation of the Negro Leagues. When baseball did not allow someone to play due to the color of their skin, Hinchliffe Stadium became a place of inclusivity for these incredible players to play the sport they loved. Lary Doby Jr was also present at this event and expressed his admiration for this honor since his father was one of the players who got his start on this exact field. This exhibit enhances the experience and history of baseball, just as Hinchliffe Stadium is doing with their historic reopening.
