LAKE ERIE MANAGER JARED LEMIEUX TO BE INDUCTED INTO MAINE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME

AVON, OH - On Monday, Lake Erie Crushers Manager Jared Lemieux was officially announced as part of the 2024 class for the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame. He will be enshrined along with 10 others on October 27th in Portland.

Lemieux enjoyed an impressive high school career at Maranacook High School in Readfield, Maine that included two state championships (2000, 2002) before moving on to Bowdoin College, where he was named to the All-NESCAC First-Team four times. After graduating in 2006, he signed with the Worchester Tornadoes of the Canadian-American Association. Lemieux went on to play five seasons in independent baseball before retiring from playing in 2010. In 2012, Jared was named head baseball coach at Southern Maine Community College, winning the Yankee Small College Conference Coach of the Year award during his tenure. 

Lemieux entered the Frontier League in 2021, serving as a hitting coach with the New Jersey Jackals before being hired as the field manager and head of baseball operations with the Crushers in 2023. In his second season with Lake Erie, he led the Crushers back to the postseason for the first time since 2019; the Crushers' victory over the Gateway Grizzlies in the 2024 Wild Card was their first playoff win in over a decade. Lemieux also coached the West Division All-Stars in Québec this past season, which included eight selections from Lake Erie.
