MITCHELL SENGER WINS PITCHER OF THE WEEK

AVON, OH - Mitchell Senger of the New York Boulders has been named the Frontier League Pitcher of the Week.

Left-hander Mitchell Senger wins Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete-game shutout against the New England Knockouts on Thursday. In his appearance, Senger threw 102 pitches (77 strikes), allowing no runs on six hits. Senger's command of the strike zone was impeccable, not allowing a walk and striking out five in a crucial victory against a division rival in the midst of a playoff race.

Senger is the second pitcher to week a weekly award, following Brandon Backman who won one in the final week of June. The left-handed Floridian spent time in the New York Mets organization after being drafted in the 26th round of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft, striking out eight in 13 appearances. Senger is in his third season in the Frontier League and his second in New York, which is shaping up to be his best professional season. In 87 innings, Senger has compiled a career-best 4.03 ERA while striking out 72 and posting a respectable 1.24 WHIP.
