CRUSHERS NAME ZGARDOWSKI NEW PITCHING COACH

The Lake Erie Crushers have named former Frontier League Pitcher Jason Zgardowski (Pronunciation: \Zar-DOW-ski\) Pitching Coach for the 2023 season. Zgardowski joins new Manager Jared Lemieux's staff after 7 years of professional baseball, the latest with the New Jersey Jackals in 2021.

"We are so excited to have Jason join the Crushers in 2023" stated new Crushers Manager Jared Lemieux.

"Having worked with Jason in 2021, I know he will bring a lot of great knowledge and instruction to the Crushers staff next season." "I cannot wait to get started in Lake Erie and chase another Frontier League Championship" Zgardowski said.

"I know Jared will put a first-class roster together in hopes of bringing the title back to Avon, Ohio."

Zgardowski's professional baseball career started in 2014 as a prospect for the Philadelphia Phillies. Over the course of his 7-year professional career he also pitched in the St. Louis Cardinals system and won a Frontier League title with the River City Rascals in 2019. Zgardowski retired as a player following the 2021 season.
