SAM BELISLE-SPRINGER BACK IN TROIS-RIVIÈRES

SAM BELISLE-SPRINGER BACK IN TROIS-RIVIÈRES

After playing the last campaign in Europe, Sam Belisle-Springer is back in Québec when he has just signed with the Aigles de Trois-Rivières.

The artilleryman from Rigaud in Montérégie will try to carve out a place for himself in the starting rotation of the Trois-Rivières organization. "Sam is a smart and athletic pitcher. He has a very good throwing repertoire which makes him an excellent candidate for our starting rotation," commented Aigles manager Matthew Rusch.

Belisle-Springer is in great shape as he played the 2021 season with the Solingen Alligators, in the German Baseball Championship, before joining the Templiers de Sénart, in the French Championship in Division 1.

He also led the French team to the championship final where he accomplished a rather impressive feat: Belisle-Springer launched 17 innings on the same day as part of a doubleheader. During these two games, he recorded no less than 207 pitches in total!

Belisle-Springer thus becomes the fifth Quebecer to join the Mauricie team. He will reunite with his compatriots Raphael Gladu, Louis-Philippe Pelletier, David Gauthier and Michel Dagenais at the team's training camp next May.
